2020!

January 2020
And then....
Covid 19 changed our world in ways I know I didn't see coming! It adjusted many families' lives and schedules took a complete twist and a lot of adapting.
Our high school senior shared her last senior night ever in Feb 2020 that I am so thankful for.
We didnt know it would be months til she saw her friends again, that remote learning would be a way of life, that we would not step foot in the high school for many months or see her graduate.
What it took for many of us to see the end of 2020 has been a ride!
March 2020

Pictured left-April 2020
I did what any documentary photographer would do and went to work documenting the closures and lockdown for our senior to surprise her with a video from her teachers..I didnt know at the time she wouldnt see them again.
Then in April we did our Cap and Gown pictures and I began offering senior cap and gown minis...
Senior Prom at Home
Proms, sports, schools, everything closed down or modified across the nation. We held a prom at home which consisted of just mom,dad and little sister but we tried to make it memorable with a little music and festivities in our garage late April 2020.
May 2020
Virtual Graduations
Virtual graduations became the normal as educators and school districts, colleges, all scrambled to find ways to reach kids isolated from friends and family at home. Our 5th grader, like many, never stepped foot in her elementary school again..
Senior Cap and Gown Minis
Pictured Above and left
I wanted to do something for these seniors,so I took to the social media pages and offered cap and gown minis.I met so many INCREDIBLE young people who are going to shape and change the future. They are resilient and dedicated young men and women and I was honored to do it.Class of 2021 is going through it as well and I plan to offer these again late spring because seniors hold such a place in my heart.I love talking to them and photographing them and sharing in such a special moment in their lives.
